I - Bogotá - Bogotá Beer Company, Usaquén

Nie ma to jak oddanie sprawie.. moje pierwsze kroki na ziemiach Ameryki Południowej. Po 15 godzinnym locie kiedy to była już noc czasu lokalnego [czyli w Polsce już druga doba dla mnie się zaczynała] wylądowaliśmy w dzielnicy Usaquén. W nocy wszystko ma swój odmienny wygląd. Bardziej magiczny.

Well this is how some people are devoted to the things what they love.. my first steps in the lands of South America. After a 15 hour flight when it was night local time [i.e. in Poland already started the second day for me – jet lag] we went to the beautiful district of Usaquén. At night, everything has a different look. More magical.

Kiedyś było to malutkie miasteczko – teraz część wielkiej ponad 8 milionowej metropolii. Głównym miejscem jest Plaza Central de Usaquén z pięknym kościołem. Niestety było po 22 więc tego typu atrakcje turystyczne już pozamykane.

It used to be a small town – now part of the great metropolis of more than 8 million people. The main square is Plaza Central de Usaquén with a beautiful church. Unfortunately it was after 22 so this kind of things are already closed for tourists.

Tutaj wspaniała architektura kolonialna komponuje się z ciemnością i światłem latarni nadając lekko tajemniczy wyraz. Kilka chwil spędzonych pod kościołem św. Barbary a potem clue programu czyli piwo w Bogotá Beer Company. Fajne miejsce na spotkanie ze znajomymi – coś typu nasze warszawskie Pawilony tylko w mniejszym wydaniu :-)

Here the magnificent colonial architecture blends in with the darkness and the light of lanterns, giving a slightly mysterious impression. A few moments spent near the Church of St. Barbara and then the most interesting part of the evening – beer in Bogotá Beer Company. Great place to meet with friends – something like our Warsaw Pawilony only smaller :-)

Akcja, która ubawiła mnie najbardziej to grzejniki gazowe. Obstawiałam, że na dworze jest ok. 18–20C ciepła tak, że bez sweterka spokojnie możesz pomykać po ulicach a tu włączone grzejniki gazowe w barach [gdzie przecież u nas się je zapala przy –5C].

O mało nie umarłam ze śmiechu jak to zobaczyłam – i z gorąca jak się okazało, że pod jednym usiadłam :D

The thing which amused me the most is gas heaters. I bet that the temperature was between 18 – 20C so that no sweater is necessary but here gas heaters in bars are on [where in Poland we use them when is – 5C outside].

I almost died laughing when I saw them - and I felt like I was on fire when it turned out that I accidently choose a seat near one of them.
